I’m a 20-something recent graduate, trying to improve my health, fitness and body image.
After losing and gaining back – and then losing again – about 14 pounds in the last year or so, I’m on a quest to kick the yo-yo dieting and get healthy once and for all.
So I’ve ditched the junk food and started exploring the world of whole grains, tofu and Green Monster smoothies. I’ve swapped lazy evenings in front of the TV for runs and sessions at the gym. And I feel great!
Don’t get me wrong – I’m far from perfect. I’m constantly learning, changing, messing up and starting over. I still have issues with food and body confidence. I find it really hard to resist chocolate and cake. And I still struggle to run more than a mile.
But I’m making changes to my lifestyle and I’m seeing differences. For me, improving my health and fitness isn’t something I’m going to achieve overnight. It’s a long journey. And I’m just getting started.
